Version 0.1.1 - QoL release


If you thought we got lost, here we are, with version 0.1.1!

This update brings significant stability improvements, especially to multiplayer, together with some important fixes that make rendezvous and docking operations much easier. 

Oh, and there are a lot of (not so) small UX improvements too! Thankfully, you don’t have to restart the game anymore to get to the main menu, lol.

Here’s the detailed changelog:

  • Allow to return to main menu
  • Allow closing overlays with ESC
  • Fixed player being stuck in map mode
  • Fixed unnatural stars background response on camera rotation
  • Improved orbit propagation and rendering
  • Fixed time and distance to closest approach calculation
  • Fixed disappearing asteroid when flying far away 
  • Fixed bases not being reclaimed on player disconnect
  • Fixed docking port alignment indicator directions being misleading
  • Fixed eccentricity representation on the MFD
  • Add the map view controls to controls cheatsheet
  • Fixed Venture's hull collision shape preventing docking with another Venture craft
  • Fixed crash on main menu exit after docking attempt
  • Generate bodies on runtime, instead of using saved ones
  • Fixed game crash if a docked vehicle gets destroyed
  • Fixed time formatting when durations exceed the minute-second range
  • Fixed visual and physics spacecraft artifacts 
  • Fixed docking port remaining busy after undocking
  • Fixed connection window disappearing on server join

This release might not seem huge, that’s because our main focus for the last two months was on reworking the game’s foundations in order to support modding and pave the way for new gameplay mechanics. But as bug reports started to pile up, we decided to take a break and roll out this QoL build.

Huge thanks to all those who tried the game and reported bugs, some were really hard to spot!
